About Tiffany Thomas LPCC-S, PMH-C

Hi, I'm Tiffany.

I know how overwhelming this season can feel because I’ve been there, too.

First, I want you to know how proud you should be of yourself for taking this first step. Simply exploring the idea of therapy takes courage. I remember sitting exactly where you are now, on the other side of this screen, reading countless therapist profiles and websites, hoping to find someone who truly understood what I was experiencing.

The transition to becoming a mother of two was one of the hardest seasons of my life. In the midst of my own battle with postpartum depression and anxiety, I spent hours searching for a therapist who spoke to my experience. Instead, I found a significant gap in care for women navigating the emotional complexities of motherhood.

That experience ultimately led me here.

Whether you're planning to become a mother, expecting a baby, adjusting to life postpartum, or years into motherhood trying to balance everything life demands of you, welcome. You are seen. You are valued. And no matter how heavy things feel right now, I hope you'll remember just how resilient you are.

My journey, as both a therapist and a mother of three, has shaped the way I care for the women I work with. Opening Oak Haven Counseling, what I often jokingly call my fourth baby, was born from a desire to create the kind of space I desired to find during my own journey.

I understand that motherhood can hold both incredible joy and profound struggle, sometimes all in the same moment. My mission is simple. I want to walk alongside women as they navigate the emotional challenges of family planning, pregnancy, postpartum, and every season of motherhood beyond. My hope is that you leave each session feeling heard, supported, and empowered with the tools to move forward with greater confidence and self-compassion.

"Being a mother is learning about strengths you didn’t know you had, and dealing with fears you didn’t know existed."

my philosophy

I believe in…

𑁍 Creating a judgment-free, compassionate space where you feel seen, heard, validated, and safe enough to share life's challenges.

𑁍 The power of self-compassion and the freedom that comes from letting go of guilt and shame.

𑁍 Prioritizing your own needs and embracing realistic expectations, because you deserve the same care and grace you so freely give to others.

𑁍 Individualized treatment that is thoughtfully tailored to your unique experiences, goals, and the challenges you're navigating.

𑁍 Supporting the balance between motherhood and the many other parts of who you are. Because let's be honest, some days it can feel like the motherhood hat never comes off.
